When a Reward is Triggered

A referral reward becomes payable once all qualifying conditions have been met.

A reward will only be processed when:

• The referred individual or business has signed a Letter of Engagement with Penney’s Accountancy Ltd.
• The referred client has paid their first invoice in full.
• The referred client has been an active client for at least 60 days from their engagement start date.
• The referral has been correctly recorded by Penney’s Accountancy Ltd.
• The referral was made before the referred client became a client of Penney’s Accountancy Ltd.

Once these conditions have been met, Penney’s Accountancy Ltd will confirm the qualifying referral and begin processing the selected reward.

Eligibility Rules

To qualify for a referral reward:

• The referrer must be a current active client of Penney’s Accountancy Ltd at the time the reward is claimed.
• The referral must be for a new individual or business.
• The referred person or business must not already be in contact with, introduced to, or in discussion with Penney’s Accountancy Ltd at the time of referral.
• Self referrals do not qualify.
• This includes a client referring their own company, connected business, trading name, partnership or associated entity under a different name.
• The referred client must require paid accountancy, tax, payroll, bookkeeping, VAT, advisory or business support services from Penney’s Accountancy Ltd.
• There is no limit to the number of referrals a client can make.
• Each qualifying referral will be assessed separately.
• Each successful referral may earn a separate reward.
• Rewards are only available once per referred client.
• If more than one person refers the same individual or business, Penney’s Accountancy Ltd will decide which referrer is eligible based on the first recorded referral.
• Rewards are non transferable.
• Rewards cannot be exchanged for an alternative unless agreed by Penney’s Accountancy Ltd.
• Rewards have no cash equivalent unless cash payment by BACS is the chosen reward type and the relevant reward tier allows this option.

Reward Value and Tier Allocation

• The reward value is based on the first full year’s recurring fee agreed with the referred client at onboarding.
• Penney’s Accountancy Ltd will determine the applicable reward tier once the referred client’s services and annual fee have been confirmed.
• One off fees, ad hoc work, catch up work, penalties, software charges, disbursements and other non recurring costs may not be included when calculating the annual fee value.
• If a referred client starts on a lower service package and upgrades within the first 12 months, Penney’s Accountancy Ltd may issue a top up reward.
• Any top up reward is at the discretion of Penney’s Accountancy Ltd and is not guaranteed.

Reward Delivery

Once a reward has qualified:

• Penney’s Accountancy Ltd will contact the referrer to confirm the selected reward type.
• Retail gift vouchers will usually be delivered digitally by email.
• Experience vouchers will usually be delivered digitally by email.
• Cash payments by BACS require the referrer to provide suitable bank details.
• Fee discounts will be applied against the referrer’s next invoice after the reward has qualified.
• Charitable donations will be made to the chosen charity in the referrer’s name, where possible.
• Confirmation will be provided once a charitable donation has been processed.
• Reward processing times may vary depending on the chosen reward type.

General Conditions

• Penney’s Accountancy Ltd reserves the right to decline a referral reward where the referral has not been properly registered.
• Penney’s Accountancy Ltd may decline a reward if the referred client does not meet the qualifying criteria.
• Penney’s Accountancy Ltd may decline a reward if the referral is deemed unsuitable, duplicated or invalid.
• Penney’s Accountancy Ltd reserves the right to amend, pause or withdraw the referral rewards scheme at any time.
• Where possible, reasonable notice will be given to existing clients.
• Reward values, qualifying conditions, reward options and tier thresholds may be reviewed and updated from time to time.
• Participation in the referral scheme does not create any partnership, agency, employment or representative relationship between the referrer and Penney’s Accountancy Ltd.
• The final decision on reward eligibility, reward tier and reward delivery rests with Penney’s Accountancy Ltd.
